The Barrel House is a family-owned event space housed in a 1900s railroad building in downtown Chambersburg. We host weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events with something no other venue in the region offers — an on-site bar and kitchen, wood-fired food, and industrial-modern architecture with overnight accommodations, all in one place.

Originally constructed by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, The Barrel House spent a century as a warehouse, a grocery depot, and Chambersburg’s first beer distributor after Prohibition. Today, it’s a three-story, New York-style industrial loft with 15-foot ceilings, a wood-fired kitchen, indoor and outdoor patios, a bridal suite, and room for up to 120 guests.

The Barrel House is one of the only event venues in the region with a full bar and kitchen on-site. Craft beer, cocktails, and mocktails are served from our bar, and our full kitchen turns out food worth gathering around. Bring your own caterer if you prefer — or skip the coordination entirely and let us handle it. Either way, your guests eat and drink well without a single outside contract.
